Sitting and waiting…
Feeling so empty…
Nothing to do…
So decided to write about the trip that me, kim, vywen and sim miao went to. Was sort of thinking of the happy and wonderful times that we had, especially those with my best buddy kimberly. Feeling empty now as the room is so much empty and neat. Too neat it seems. Felt better when her stuff was all around my room and I will keep on telling her to pick up her things. hehe …sometimes it is just so good to have a lil of messy-ness in your life. Miss her already…alright back to the trip and the life here..
Pre-Trip
After much planning, we decided to go on a 4 days 3 nights trip down south. We decided to go to Rotorua for 2 days and 1 day in Taupo. Before the trip started, me, kim, Shingo, Fathiyyah and friends went down to one of the most happening clubs in Auckland I think…FLoat..it was at the harbour and I tell you…it was sardined packed (but I think i a lil too quah lar) ..crazy… barely place to dance and drink. Hanged out later at McD with Kim, Fathiyyah and Shingo for supper….By the time we reached home and got to bed it was almost like 3…and we were suppose to leave at 730am…Die lor…driver somemore..

Day 1
Anyway woke up and stuffed everything into the car. Eugenie’s Car!! yay..thank you eugenie for letting us use the car! At around 8am, we were off and away to Rotorua. The road that goes down south are not like highways in Malaysia…those 3 laners on both sides or those two laners. The "motorway" here are like those trunk roads that are used on the East Coast of Malaysia. Like those going to Terengganu and Cherating. The roads are narrow and long. But the scenery is awesome..really beautiful. Imagine cows, sheeps, horses, farms, green hills and nice cottages all along the road….but after awhile it gets repetative and boring…cause it is the only thing you see throughout the 3 hours drive to Rotorua. hehe..
At around 11 plus I think or near 12pm we finally reached Rotorua. And our first destination was Agrodome! Agrodome is a place where you can do lots of stuff all under one roof. You can bungy, swoop, agrojet, zorb, sheep show, helitour and so on. And guess what we did there? Yes, we Zorbed!

It don’t look impressive at first, but once you are in it, I tell you it is damn fun. We went in pairs, Me and kim took the first ball. It was filled with hot water as it was winter and we were shivering our asses off wearing only those swimming wear. We have to jump forward inside the ball in order to move the ball off the edge of the hill. At first it was kinda fun just lying down the warm water(keep us warm and also ensure us that we are like sittin and rolling inside the ball rather than going 360 around the ball) and going down the hill…nice feeling..but as the speed accelerates…It is FUN but Scary as well…from outside t
he ball it seems slow…but inside you would feel worst then a hamster I tell you….it goes so fast, you feel like you are pinned down at one spot because the force is pretty strong…

but all in all IT IS A MUST EXPERIENCE ACTIVITY!

Moving on…after tumbling down the hill like hamsters in a ball, we were starving just like hamsters would after doing lots of running. We went to KFC!…it was not as nice as Malaysia’s but what the heck! we were starving..Soon after refilling…we checked in at our motel. Aywon Motel was where we stayed. An old place but it was cheap for 4 people as it only cost us NZ$ 100 a night. One thing slack is that the windows are not tightly sealed…so at night prettyt cold and the sink and basins are still old fashioned..where you got to turn on the hot and cold water seperately to get the desire temp. Burned myself few times.

Without wasting much time, we headed back out again. Next destination was Skyline Skyrides. We have to take a gondola up to the top of the hill/mountain and up there we played the luge. I can’t explain what it was but it is real fun. It feels like go-kart. You go down the hill following tracks that are suited to your skill(beginner, intermediate & advanced). The view from the summit is beautiful as you can see the whole Rotorua Town as well as the lake.Beautiful….after finishing the track you get to go back up to the summit using lifts. Thank god we have thick jackets and gloves, it was so cold that I couldn’t feel my hands and our faces were red. So cute.

By the time we got down the hill, it was already dinner time. We head home to our motel and cooked dinner. As usual our chef, Kimberly prepared dinner for us together with her assistant Vywen, while I took a nap…hehe =)That was pretty much our first day and indeed it was one fun filled day. We went to bed around 12 or 1 and slept like babies.

Day 2 of the trip will continue in the next entry. Oh by the way, there won’t be anymore nice pictures…as my camera died on me….-_- Pass it back to kim to give to my sis. So hopefully can be saved ler.
Mood is better as I know Kim reached home safely. Happy again!
