Bla Bla Bla…

Saturday, February 25th, 2006

when u are down, u tend to think alot.

summary of my downness

(cough+sore throat+flu+fever)+failed test+missing my family and friends= =(

Barronwinnervmalaysia2_kc_1

had a sleepless night last night. slept around 1130pm after coming back from New Zealand vs Malaysia soccer match. the game ended 2 - 1.

130am: go toilet.

215am: call from mom. i was so happy. mom even asked if i want to come back for a short hols.

4/5 am: go toilet. took panadol as i was burning again.

8am: decided not to sleep anymore cause I can’t get any sleep anyway.

Pills_1

the pills i have taken the past 3 days.

Sometimes I think to myself why and what am I still doing in NZ. All my friends and family is back home and I am still here. Friends are all asking me to come back. My mom asked me whether I want to come back soon yesterday for a holiday and I was so tempted in doing so. Because there is a MAS fair and soon a Matta Fair. But if I do go back, should I return to look for a job and stay on until my visa expires?

To me my main priority now is to attend my graduation, find a good full time job and gain experience. Earn my own money and not burden my mom anymore. My other plan is to enjoy life as well. Go travelling down South in June or July. Being here on my own does make me feel free and in control of my life. I don’t mean I don’t have that same priviledges back home. But when you are home, you are in your comfort zone. You can fall back on your family and friends at any time. But when you are here it is slightly different. There is still friends that you can fall back and count on. When you’re out of your comfort zone, you learn to survive and adapt. Which is like what I am trying to do. Look for a job, earn money and survive. But sometimes I wonder whether I am wasting my time here. There isn’t really anything for me here that is worth staying for anyway.

But I guess it is just another phase of life. Choices and decisions. I am thankful that my family and friends have given me this opportunity. It makes me grow and become stronger. Or maybe I am just thinking too much because I am sick and have no one to pamper me now. Understand abit lar…I am the last in my family so I get all the pampering and freedom. Still a big baby, I guess?

My passport will be courier back to me tomorrow morning from the immigration office. Wouldn’t it be ironic if my 6 months visa is not approved? Everything I have just said would not even matter. lol. that would be cruel, but it is just life. =)

thank you kim n yen ling for cheering me up! kim u’re always the best!

sick

Thursday, February 23rd, 2006

i am sick…what a time to get sick…

felt very weak yesterday during work and told my colleague that I would not last the day and infact I was right. when back and got some rest and found out i have fever, cough, flu and sore throat. all in one package.

what a day. got up today at around 930 am because I can’t really sleep. woke up met someone and sold a text book to some stranger. then i was thinking, i havent get my graduation pack, it is like some registration form. so decided to head down to the uni and ask about it. found out that today was the last day for registration and they said any late comers would not be entertain at all. I was like WHAT THE F**K! I came by to ask for the forms last week and you said that it will be sent to my house. When I come back this week you say I am too late?!

Thank god it was all a misunderstanding. There was a lil problem with the system where I was not automatically put on the graduation list. Thank god everything was settled. SO everyone listen UP!

I will be graduating on the 24th MARCH 2006, 2.30pm!! Yay..

When down the city  later to get some medicine and it rained on the way. Sudah lar  i sick, mau hujan lagi…

Anyway feeling much better now, going to North Harbour Stadium for New Zealand vs Malaysia Soccer match. Kinda excited…

Soccer last evening…

Shingo: Hey, you should mark me.

Darren: You don’t need anyone to mark you.

Ball cross the goal area..

Shingo and David jumps high for the ball..

Shingo heads the ball and then…

CLASH!!

David holding his head with both of his hands.

David

This is how he looks like.

It was a head to head collision. It was bloody. At first I thought it was a normal head to head knock. Then I saw Previn, running to his bag and grabbing his towel. I was wondering, why is he bringing a towel for David? Wipe sweat ar? When I went near to have a look. I can see David was actually holding his head and blood was flowing out. The grass also has blood on it.

Previn quickly took David to the hospital. Shingo and I accompanied him as well. But thank god there was nothing serious that happened to him. His cut was like 4cm long and it was patched up with four staples man. Yeap staples….I guess stitching is old fashioned already. After all that David look like a punjabi. Get well soon bro..

Happy Valentine’s Day

Tuesday, February 14th, 2006

I am dead tired. For those who don’t know I am apart of the committee for the malaysian student society here. It is UMSA, Union of Malaysian Students in Auckland.

1_3

Just last friday, saturday and sunday we took part in the auckland lantern festival. We sold food and drinks that day. I was mostly incharge of performing teh tarik. Just learned it but it was fun. Karen and I were one of the main performers…lol. Anyhow it was a really tiring event. Setting up the stall, making tea, cleaning, selling, cooking satay and etc…but it was fun and it was all good.

4_2

For more info go to www.umsa.tk. I am the moderator over there. You can download video of lion dance and also the fireworks during the lantern festival.

So all I need to do now is get some rest. Need to settle lots of stuff. Graduation, help friends move, grocery, application for jobs and so on. Manage to meet some new IACT college students too. Staying at Wellesley. I know their names but they don’t know me wan lar.(Ori, Liyana, Kimberly, Annie) Suprisingly some can recognize me. I look so different from then and now…was a nerd..and still is anyway..

Nerd

But still single. hehe …Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Spread the love.

Fun Weekends

Wednesday, February 8th, 2006

Been pretty busy and lazy these few weeks. Since the weekend before the cny pot luck, every weekend I had something to do. At least it is good for me so I do not think too much of nonsense and can just chill and hangout with friends after a week of work.

Before the CNY potluck, David, Jay and I went down to Hamilton for Parachute 06. It is kind of a three day christian based kind of concert. I had nothing to do and after much persuading by David, I went down to relax and experience what is it all about. We went down for a day trip.

Para1

Top left: Camping site. The event goes on for 3/4 days.

Other pics: Bands performing.

Para2

Top left: David, Jay, Me & Jim enjoyin the music.

Top right: Having a little rest.

Bottom left: TX, Matt, Jay & David

Bottom right: Cool pic right? that is Hsu Lynn btw.

The concert was pretty much a good experience. The next day I had the cny pot luck thing at my place.

The following weekend is a longer one. On Friday, I didn’t want to just go back home and sit infront of the TV and fall asleep after work. I decided to go for bowling. It was very enjoyable. David, Jay, Robyn, Jeanette, TX and I went for two games. There was a lot of rivalry among the players and everyone was psycho-ing each other. First game I got the highest score with Jeanette trailing behind me and TX and David didn’t even hit 100. Second game they came back strong. David won, with me and TX second place and Robyn third. Jay…nothing to say…LOL

The night was not over. When we were going back. Jay and Robyn was stuck in the lift. They were stuck in the lift for around 30 mins. Kesian…but who knows they enjoy the moment alone together? Hope no cameras….ehehe kidding yah…

Lift

The next day we skewered satays for UMSA to sell at Lantern Fest. We did it for the whole day. AT the end of the day, everyone smelled like chicken. *puke*

On Sunday, I didn’t want to waste the beautiful day away and headed down to the beach. Guess where? Miruwai again. hhaha…but it was fun. Just chill and relax. It was extra windy and cold that day but it didn’t stop me and Jun Wey from going into the waters. It was really cold but it was fun. The waves were crazily huge. I got two waves and it was really fun. Unfortunately no pictures. Use your imaginations lar….hot sun, fine sands, huge waves, wind blowing on your face, beautiful girls swimming and sun bathing, not forgetting the hot and handsome me swimming. What and orgasmic picture. HAHA ..

On beautiful monday, Satay skewering part II continue. But we did not waste the whole day away this time. We finished early and we gather as much ppl as we can find and headed down to the field and played some soccer. It was great. Nothing beats playing soccer under the hot summer sun with friends after doing some hard work. Excellent.

It was truly a fun filled packed weekend. For this weekend. It will be a fully packed as well, but It won’t be all fun though. Anyhow for the future weekends, I plan to go down Tauranga. Hopefully.

Kinda late now…need to go to work. Off I go…nitey nite.

At the end of the day. It was really a great chinese new year

and some broke, some high and what not. But most important of all
everyone went back home with a smile on their faces. At least I know I
did.
