Snow, snow…
Friday, June 23rd, 2006Nope. It isn’t snowing in Auckland. But everwhere else in sheep land is. The weather is getting real cold here and most of the places in New Zealand is experiencing snow and chaos. This was at the frontpage of today’s newspaper.
Yeap. That is the bus that we are going to take in South Island. It skidded due to slippery road. Scary huh. Anyway this happened in Ohakune. The town I went skiing with Kim, Vywen and Sim Miao. NZ is hit badly by this cold weather and many schools are closed, highways are blocked, big city has no electricity for almost 2 weeks and so on. This morning when I yawned in the bus, there was even mist. Damn…it is cold..Imagine this is only happening in the north island and south island is supposed to be way way colder. But honestly, I’m really really excited to go down South now. I will be able to actually experience snow falling down on me. It will be freezing but it would be a real experience. That is why this weekend I’m going on a shopping spree for gloves, beanie, socks, thermals, shoe and a jacket.
Enough bout winter and snow now…lets move on to WORLD CUP!! The team I’m supporting is Brazil. But they aren’t performing that well this time but I still have faith in them. Just like the last world cup. Look at how much crap everyone gave Ronaldo about his weight and his form. And what happened this morning? He came back. He scored twice in the game against Japan where Brazil won 4 - 1. He has now equal Gerd Mueller’s record tally of 14 goals in World Cup finals. Take that…you critics! This year I’m hoping maybe to see Brazil, Argentina, Italy and Spain goin far.
