Weekend As It Should Be!

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

My week was a blast. Did so much. I mean not alot but better than sitting at home and rot!

On Saturday, I went for netball together with Audrey, Swan, Sher Mayne, Mag, Mark and Sarah against KAC. I really enjoyed the weather as it was so beautiful. It was so hot that I got a lil bit of sunburn. Enjoyed the game at first until the KAC ppl took the game so seriously. So much for a "social-friendly" game. I most pantang ppl like that.

Anyway after netball, me, Sarah, Mag and Mark had lunch at KK Restaurant. At 3pm, where did we go? Where else? My weekly dosage of happiness. Outdoor soccer at Gillies Ave. It was really fun as we have alot of people who came. We played full field and had two-repaired-standing-goal-post as we broke one the other time.

So it was like perfect weather + friends + more friends + sports = laughter + joy. Simply…great. Can put a smile on anyone’s face.

My day, did not end there as some "young-ones" and the "oldies" who didn’t get to go to DV8, orgarnised DV9 instead. Don’t ask me what it stands for, but it was a hangout-dinner session thingy. It was a really great way to end the day by just sitting, chit-chattin and enjoying each other’s company. Some left early for games, some left early because curfew, some left early because no bus later and end up me and Zaf went to McD’s to hang out up till 3am++.

Seems like a long long day huh? My weekend still hasn’t end you know! Sunday morning 940am, got my lazy ass off bed and headed to the Rec Centre.

10 - 11.30am - Mixed netball
11.30 - 1.30pm - Volleyball
1.30 - 3pm - Soccer

This is one of the super sport sundays that I enjoyed very much. As it is really a friendly-social fun games. All the boys and girls tried all of the sports and it was really good to see how everyone is willing to try, to learn and to teach. The most interesting game was soccer. UMSA girls can actually play soccer and they can kick some balls, I tell you. Ying Swan scored an excellent goal somemore. Keeper was me..lol..Honestly..it was unstoppable. Swan make me look bad only. hehhe. There was this moment we could see some tae kwan do head choppin kick by Zaf which left everyone on the court rolling on the floor. =) Went for lunch with Mag, Zaf and Wei En. Then went home and took like a 4 hours nap and here I am bloggin.

Result of my weekend? Smile on my face and hope for the others as well,
body aches, bruised left shoulder, bruised ribs(really hurts), skinned
left knee and starving like a mad cow right now. But it was all worth
it, I must say. After a hard long week of working. The thing I look forward most on the
weekend is you. Yes, you. All of you. I rather have less sleep and end
up tired on Monday morning. I wish it could always be like that. Even on weekdays. *smiles*

Damn. I finally got pictures from my South Island trip and I can’t blog about it. Why?!?

Work is so hectic. I go in early, finish late. Come back, dinner and all.. so tired already. Just wanna sit and relax.

And to add on to that, I got abit of tooth ache. I think my wisdom teeth is coming out..but this morning was a good morning eventhough I didn’t have enough of sleep. Had a dream so real, I believed it was true. Someone came into my room early this morning and sat on my bed. You know the feeling you get when you wake up and see the person you love sitting beside you? Like your mom, dad, family or good friends? Wish I could sleep longer and enjoy the moment. Work today was so busy, until I forgotten that I got tooth ache.

Enough complaining…I’m goin to get some work done. Nitey nite…wait! Wait! Now I feel like bloggin about it. If I continue to delay it, I’ll surely forget and end up too lazy to blog about it.

Alright…I’ll go like diary style..

28 June 2006

Left Auckland real early. Woke up as early as 5am to get ready as the shuttle came by to take me and David at 530am. Our flight was at 650am. Darn early right? What to do..cheap tickets mar..

Look at us. All ready and excited to fly down south.

Plane

So excited we kept on taking pictures on the plane. Look at me. Eyes goin to close liao. But I don’t know what David is doing lar? Staring into blankness…hmmm..i wonder?

Transit in Christchurch Airport. Look at that. Smaller than any airport in Malaysia man. Walk on the runway somemore. Feel abit like those celebrity going on planes while waving to the screaming fans. If you look at the plane carefully, it is powered by those big propellers.

After awhile. The excitement went down hill. Until…

Otago2006_031

I arrived at Dunedin! There was frost on the roads!! I was so excited, I started to slide down the hill.

The purpose of this trip for me was:

1) Girls….heheh kidding, Bersatu Games.
2) Friends.
3) Holiday.
4) and to at least experience snow fall.

As soon as I saw white, white stuff on the road, I was already so excited. And for the next few days, I kept on praying for snow fall. HEhehe…eventhough the weather was already quite cold.

Practically we didn’t do much on the first day, as we were pretty tired due to the lack of sleep the night before and the travelling.

We walked around the city and did some sightseeing before going back to Anthony’s house to rest. Anthony(David’s friend…and now my friend) was so kind to let us stay at his place for 5 days! What a guy.

After the nap, we were surely hungry. And where else to go have dinner when you are miles and miles away from your temporary home(Auckland), in a place you’ve never been before?

Mcd

Good Old Trustable McDonald’s.

Dunedin at first to me was so small. But it is actually really nice. Everything was very near, central and convenient compared to any other cities in the South Island. But first impressions always like that one ler…

See! Can even pose in the middle of the road.

That reminds me of the story of meeting up with the girls. You see, me and David came earlier and the other 3 girls that are joining us for the holiday was arriving on the same day but later at night. However they didn’t arrive on time as the Otago Airport was so small and it was so late, the shuttle service was already finished when they arrived. They have to wait for another shuttle and while waiting the airport lights were shut down. Where got airport tutup kedai wan? And they were the only three around the airport. HEheh…what an experience it might have been.

But in the end they arrived safely. We met the girls and hanged out in Yet Tyng’s place, new friend of mine and friends of David, Zaf, Wei En and Yin.

My first day ends by walking back to Anthony’s house in very cold temperature and off to wonderland.

Alright…that’s for the first day. Don’t want to miss out anything. I wanna remember everything and laugh about it when I get old and grey.

Off I go now. Nitey nite world.

Interesting things that happened to me this week

Saturday, July 22nd, 2006

My life is pretty boring. Work is boring.

Waking Up Late: Thing of the past
I realised I’ve been waking up early around 7-8am everyday for the pass 3 weeks plus. Including the holidays. Can clearly remember there was two days when I slept in. The day I watch England & Brazil lose and on the Sunday after I came back from Dunedin.

Sickness: Flu
Recovered from it. Due to exhaustion of the holidays.

Daily Routine: Computers
Stared at computer for at least 13 hours a day, everyday.

Driving: Manual Vehicle
First time driving manual vehicle after 1 year 5 months. Somemore a van. I still got it in me. *phew*

Favourite Day of the Week: THURSDAY!
Because it was pay day. Holiday burn a big, big hole in my bank. Survived the week with $6 dollars. Now have debt everywhere. Owe Cyn, owe David, owe Wei En, owe dad( hope he forgets….heheheh). If I owe you guys money please let me know…I sometimes forget wan..

Dinner Today: Too Much

two toast with butter and strawberry jam + hokkien mee + chicken rice + lots of chinese tea + rockmelon pearl tea = stomach goin to explode!

Weekend: Bersatu Reunion + Soccer + Friends = Joy

I’m Back

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

Yes. Back in Auckland. After a 2 1/2 weeks of holiday down south island.

I’m currently very tired and flu-ish while waiting for my hair to dry so I can go to bed. Can’t update about my trip yet but I had a wonderful wonderful time and will start bloggin about it when I get pictures from friends.

Summary of things that happened:

My backpack is missing, great holiday down south, made new friends, got closer to others, happy memories, funny memories, lots and lots of pictures, injury to left eye and broke.

Sad thing is, back to work on Monday. Wished that it wouldn’t have to end. Holidays are somehow like an escape from reality. Like how some people watch love movies and hope that those lovey dovey moments will happen to us in real life that we could only hope for…okie…I think I am very very tired now…crapping already..

Off I go. =)

I’m not missing

Wednesday, July 12th, 2006

I’m on the last week of my 2 1/2 weeks holidays. I’m not missing, I’m not dead, I’m just on vacation. Travelling around the beatiful South Island with great friends.

Don’t miss me. Will update soon.
